Summary
The Governor of Vermont signed S.58 into law making it legal for wineries with approved direct-to-consumer permits to ship wine to consumers in Vermont. The direct shipping permit is available under relevant documents. Approved wineries are allowed to ship up to 12 cases a year to consumers of legal age and must file a report with the Department of Liquor Control every six months and pay taxes. Effective November 1, 2006, FedEx is approved to ship direct-to-consumer for on-site and off-site sales.
