Direct shipments permitted; restrictions apply. The regulatory authorities in Connecticut have issued the required documents for obtaining a direct shippers permit and filing the required reports. Please see the links to the required forms below, along with instructions as to the order in which an applicant must move through the process. A winery must be registered with DRS for both sales and alcoholic beverages taxes prior to making shipments of product into Connecticut. A registered winery may ship up to 5 gallons of wine in any 2 month period to a consumer in Connecticut. For example, if a winery ships 5 gallons of wine to a consumer on October 14, it cannot ship to the same consumer until December 14.
